Dr. William Inboden began serving as executive vice president and provost on August 1, 2025. He also holds the William Powers Jr. Chair and a joint faculty appointment with the Department of History and the School of Civic Leadership. As the University’s chief academic officer, he leads UT Austin’s academic mission and ensures the excellence and continued innovation of research and teaching endeavors across campus.

Miguel is a first-generation college student from the Rio Grande Valley who has earned three degrees from UT Austin and has spent his career serving the university.

Jen Moon is the Vice Provost for Professional-Track Faculty. As Vice Provost, Dr. Moon focuses on professional-track faculty initiatives, programs, and resources for faculty across their career cycle—from hiring through pre-retirement—and supports the multiple facets of the workload and job experiences of professional-track faculty.

Drayton Cullen
Chief of Staff
Drayton Cullen is the Chief of Staff to the Executive Vice President and Provost, advancing strategic initiatives, operations and institutional priorities. He previously served as the Program Specialist at the University of Florida’s Hamilton School of Classical and Civic Education where he developed academic programs and fellowships, contributed to strategic planning, and directed the America in the World Consortium. Earlier, he managed the Consortium at UT Austin’s Clements Center for National Security. Drayton holds a B.A. in History and Classics from Samford University and a Master of Global Policy Studies from UT Austin’s LBJ School of Public Affairs.
