Provost’s Authors Fellowship Announces Second Cohort

Sixteen faculty members have been selected for the second cohort of the Provost’s Authors Fellowship, a program designed to provide more support to associate professors pursuing promotion to full professor.

This new program provides financial and programmatic support to faculty members engaged in the development and publication of scholarly books, and is intended to provide greater support to pursue research and scholarship at a critical point in their careers. The fellowship begins in June 2020 and will last 15 months.

“We have exceptional associate faculty members with exceptional creativity, ambition and important perspectives to share through their research and scholarship. The goal of this fellowship is to support their vision and contributions in published works,” said Maurie McInnis, executive vice president and provost at UT Austin. “We are excited to continue this program and welcome the second cohort of this exciting new initiative.”
