Paul Yakoboski is a Senior Economist with the TIAA Institute where he is responsible for research on lifetime financial security, including financial literacy and capability, as well as research on workforce issues in the higher education and non-profit sectors.


Risks and Rewards in Retirement: A Biopsychosocial Perspective

Sarah Swords, LCSW, is a Clinical Associate Professor and Assistant Dean for Master’s Programs at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work. She joined the faculty in 2010, teaching social work practice and field courses through summer 2017. In her leadership role, she holds responsibility for admissions, recruitment, curriculum, reaccreditation, and advising in the MSSW and dual degree programs. She is a licensed clinical social worker and board approved supervisor.


The Nuts and Bolts of Retiring from UT

Laura Mackey has been at UT as a Benefits Specialist in Human Resource Service since July 2013. She has a BA from UT and HR Certification from St Edward’s University.

James Vick is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mathematics in the College of Natural Sciences. He is a member of the university's Academy of Distinguished Teachers and a recipient of The University of Texas System Board of Regents Award for undergraduate teaching.

Beverly Hadaway is Associate Professor Emerita in the Department of Finance at the McCombs School of Business. Beverly was the associate chair of the Finance Department and director of the Financial Education and Research Center.

George Huber is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Management at the McCombs School of Business. George is a Fellow of the Academy of Management and of the Decision Sciences Institute and is a charter member of the Academy of Management Journals Hall of Fame.

Martha Ovando is Professor Emerita in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy (formerly Education Administration) in the College of Education. She was graduate advisor and served as president of the Hispanic Faculty and Staff Association.


UT Retired Faculty-Staff Association

William F. Lasher is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy (formerly Education Administration) in the College of Education. He is a former Associate Dean in the College of Education and former Vice Provost for UT Austin.
