Dear Faculty Colleagues,
Last spring, I hosted UT’s third annual Faculty Authors Recognition event celebrating the many published works authored by members of our extraordinary faculty community. It was inspiring to see the creativity, breadth and excellence on display, and I was moved by the perseverance of so many of you who published books in the midst of a global pandemic.
I am excited to continue this tradition of recognition in the years ahead. To once again honor our university’s faculty authors, we will host the fourth annual Faculty Authors Recognition event on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. I want to personally invite you to submit your recently published books so that deans, department chairs, peer faculty and other university leaders can help celebrate your accomplishments.
Eligibility to submit your work is based on the following:
- Published works, such as scholarly monographs, textbooks, creative works (e.g., novels and anthologies of poetry), exhibition catalogs and edited collections
- Books published during the 2022 calendar year
- Current UT faculty member
- Submission Deadline: Monday, December 5, 2022
After you submit your information, you will receive instructions to provide a physical copy of your book to display in the Main Building (all physical copies will be returned afterward) and an invitation to our event on Wednesday, January 18.
