Mayda Perez, Assistant to the Executive Vice President and Provost
Mayda Perez is the assistant to the executive vice president and provost at The University of Texas at Austin and has over 15 years of experience providing executive-level administrative support to leadership across the university. In her current role, she is responsible for the oversight and coordination of the day-to-day management of the provost. Mayda’s responsibilities include coordinating the provost’s calendar, scheduling meetings, and ensuring proper time management, preparing travel arrangements, assisting with special events and projects, and serving as the provost’s office main point of contact for university offices, The University of Texas System, and other academic entities. She also provides support to the university’s Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) Transition Campus Engagement Committee. She has been employed at the university since 2005 and has been serving in her current role since 2016.
