UT Austin Joins the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity

May 17, 2018

As part of a broad effort to better support faculty diversity and inclusion across campus, UT Austin is now an institutional member of the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD).

NCFDD is a nationally recognized independent organization dedicated to supporting faculty, particularly underrepresented faculty members, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students from more than 450 colleges and universities in making successful transitions throughout their careers.

NCFDD provides online career development, training and mentoring resources. As part of UT Austin's institutional membership, all faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and administrators have free, on-demand access to NCFDD's resources.

“Making sure that our faculty, especially those who have been historically underrepresented, have access to resources that support their career development strengthens the university’s ability to fulfill our academic mission. UT Austin’s institutional membership provides outstanding resources and trainings,” said Edmund T. Gordon, vice provost for diversity. “I strongly encourage everyone who is eligible to activate their membership and begin using these helpful resources.”

Faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and administrators can claim their free UT Austin membership on NCFDD’s website using their UT Austin email address.
