The Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost encourages UT Austin faculty members to participate in the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity's (NCFDD) Faculty Success Program.
NCFDD’s 12-week Faculty Success Program is an intensive virtual bootcamp where academics work directly with a coach and small peer group to implement the skills and strategies taught in the core curriculum. The program is intended for tenure-track and tenured faculty members who are looking for the perfect combination of intense accountability, coaching and peer support to propel their research productivity and work-life balance to a whole new level.
Participation in the NCFDD Faculty Success Program is open to all tenure-track and tenured faculty members who are active NCFDD members.

The Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost is pleased to provide funding assistance on a matching fund basis to diverse tenure-track and tenured faculty members selected through a nomination process administered by the vice provost for diversity. Chairs and/or deans may submit nominations for faculty members when a call for nominations is announced for Faculty Success Program sessions.
Vice Provost for Diversity Edmund T. Gordon announces a call for nominations for fellowships before each Faculty Success Program begins. Matching funds (50/50) are offered to cover the cost of the priority registration fee ($3,650) for five diverse faculty members.

The Faculty Success Program includes:
- Weekly Training Modules where participants learn the skills and strategies that increase productivity and promote work-life balance
- Small Group Accountability Calls that enable participants to connect deeply with other academics and NCFDD’s dedicated Faculty Coaches to receive individualized guidance, problem-solving and support
- Access to the exclusive FSP online community to track productivity, interact with other program participants, ask questions, get feedback, share resources, exchange ideas, find support, etc.
- Access to Private Coaching with Master Coaches
Tenure-track and tenured faculty members learn how to:
- Start the term with an achievable set of personal and professional goals as well as a realistic plan to meet them
- Develop a consistent, healthy and sustainable daily writing routine
- Move forward in developing the publication profile that will exceed your institution’s promotion criteria
- Align your time with your institution’s priorities and your personal values
- Master best practices in academic time management
- Identify your resistance and develop a set of strategies to move through it
- Nourish your physical and emotional health
- Enjoy a full life beyond campus
- Participate in an intensely supportive community that processes day-to-day challenges, pushes individuals when they need it, and celebrates members’ successes as they occur
The NCFDD Faculty Success Program is offered three times per year, 12 weeks per session, as follows:
Fall: August – November (Priority registration: late-May; Early/discounted registration date: late-June)
Spring: January – April (Priority registration: late-September; Early/discounted registration date: late-October)
Summer: May – August (Priority registration: late-February; Early/discounted registration date: mid-March)
Faculty Success Program Tuition
Standard tuition is $4,450 per person, per session. Early Bird tuition is $3,650.
NCFDD Institutional Member Benefits
Institutional Members are eligible for priority registration in the Faculty Success Program (FSP), whereby seats may be reserved and registered ahead of the public registration period. The Alumni Program is an additional key benefit. After completing one session of FSP, faculty can continue to enroll in the FSP Alumni Program free of charge for as long as their institution remains a member.
