NCFDD Department Chair Success Program
The Chair Success Program (CSP), is a nationally recognized initiative facilitated by the NCFDD. The Department Chair Success Program (CSP) is a 12-week program designed to equip new chairs with the skills, strategies, and support they need to lead their departments effectively while maintaining their own academic success. Through a structured, cohort-based experience, chairs gain practical leadership training, a strong peer network, and expert guidance from seasoned faculty leaders. The spring session begins Monday, Jan. 26, 2026. This year, the provost’s Faculty Affairs team will sponsor a number of department chairs to participate in the program. The faculty selected for the program will gain access to skills to lead more effectively, advocate for faculty needs, and maintain their own professional growth.
Eligibility: mid-career tenured and professional track faculty.
Application opens on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, and closes at 12p.m. CDT on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025.
