We are excited to announce that today the University launched Faculty Central, a new, one-stop website designed to provide quick and easy access to faculty-related resources and forms.
A collaborative effort from Academic Affairs and Faculty Affairs, Faculty Central offers a single hub for campus-wide information specifically for faculty. Through the site’s main search feature, you will be able to access instructional resources, promotion and tenure processes, research and funding opportunities, and more — all in one online location.
The site also allows for information to be individually curated through its “My Favorites” feature, allowing for even quicker access to the links, documents, forms, and other resources you need on a regular basis. And selecting the “Resources” option provides grouped categories of information for additional convenience.
As with any web-based portal, Faculty Central will grow and evolve over time, and we invite your feedback to help us continually improve the user experience and keep content up to date. As you use the site, feel free to ask questions and offer suggestions through the site’s feedback form, located in the footer.
Thank you to the teams involved in developing, launching, and maintaining Faculty Central. We hope the site will help streamline your jobs and become an essential tool for navigating the many resources available to faculty across our campus.
Special thanks to the Faculty Council for their discussions of the need for a centralized site to provide key information to faculty. The launch of this site demonstrates the powerful role that collaboration between Faculty Council and the provost’s office can play to improve the resources available on campus.
