The Office of the Vice President for Research, Scholarship and Creative Endeavors and the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost are pleased to announce the new 2023-2024 cohort of Provost’s Mentored Faculty Scholars. 17 faculty from ten colleges and schools were selected to participate in this interdisciplinary mentorship program. Mentees will have the opportunity to select mentors from beyond their immediate discipline to expand their research and scholarly horizons and develop their careers at the University.
The Provost’s Mentored Faculty Scholars program augments traditional, within-department faculty mentoring by facilitating mentor-mentee pairing across departments and colleges. With guidance from their mentors, mentees will work on a range of activities, including proposals for external funding, scholarly manuscripts, and community partnerships. Throughout the one-year program, mentees will participate in workshop and cohort sessions featuring UT faculty experts to develop their soft skills and learn to maximize their reach of scholarship beyond traditional sub-disciplines.
