It’s now easier than ever to provide feedback to your instructors about the courses they teach! UT Austin is launching a new course evaluation system this fall, and here is everything you need to know about the new system.
What’s New
Improved Interface
The new course evaluation system is called Blue Explorance. The system is cloud-based, and UT students who tested the system reported that they like the simplified, improved user interface — and especially the mobile experience.
Reminders and Canvas Integration
Evaluations will open for most courses on November 17, 2022. You can access and complete your evaluations through the e-mail sent directly to you on Thursday, a pop-up message on Canvas, or directly through the Canvas navigation menu. During the course evaluation process, your instructor will be able to see what percentage of students have submitted their evaluations. Faculty will not be able to see the responses or the names of students who have completed their evaluations. Your responses will always remain confidential.
What Stays the Same
Student evaluations play an important role in the assessment of courses and instructors here at UT Austin. Your feedback helps your instructors learn how to improve their courses and allows you to communicate your course experiences to your peers.
