Ten Faculty Named Recipients of Prestigious Teaching Award

AUSTIN, Texas — Ten University of Texas at Austin faculty members are being highlighted for their work and have been named recipients of the annual President’s Associates Teaching Excellence Award for the 2021-2022 academic year.

The award recognizes the university’s educational innovators who demonstrate exceptional undergraduate and graduate teaching and engage with curriculum reform and educational innovation.

“Our world-class faculty members shape the next generation of changemakers and this award honors the dedication, hard work and important role that they play,” said President Jay Hartzell “Simply put, great educators inspire students to realize their potential, and our university and society benefit as a result. My gratitude and congratulations go out to all ten of them.”

The awards are made possible by contributions from the President’s Associates — friends of the university who are committed to advancing education and research at UT Austin. Each recipient will receive a monetary award of $5,000.
