Global Engagement Task Force

The University of Texas at Austin’s distinctiveness as a world-class university is rooted in the depth and breadth of knowledge and research generated by our faculty and by the contributions of alumni worldwide. To complement the overarching vision that President Fenves has for UT Austin, a set of global engagement strategies will be developed to ensure that the university is maximizing its global opportunities and impact.

The development of these strategies will be accomplished with the assistance of an International Board of Advisors (IBA) working directly with President Fenves and academic leadership.

Faculty input is critical to this process. To gather such input, Provost McInnis assembled the Global Engagement Task Force. The task force, comprised of faculty members from a diverse array of academic disciplines, is charged with making recommendations to President Fenves, Provost McInnis, executive leadership, and the IBA for the development of global engagement strategies.

The Global Engagement Task Force has been charged with seven specific responsibilities.
