AI for Teaching Learning Toolkit: Tools

UT Austin provides a set of AI tools that are vetted, secure, and free for faculty, staff, and students. If you would like an assessment of the pedagogical efficacy of a particular tool or AI-integration or to request a pilot, contact the Office of Academic Technology.

Using AI technologies, especially generative AI tools like chatbots, come with significant limitations in the context of teaching and learning. All Longhorns should endeavor to use AI responsibly and always follow the acceptable use policy for AI tools. We especially encourage you to:

  • Gain AI fluency. Learn about the technologies behind the tools and apply skills that help you use them safely, effectively and ethically. See our Learn page to get started.
  • Use AI in ways that supports your learning outcomes. Don’t lose opportunities to learn essential skills. Follow UT Austin’s principles of responsible adoption of AI tools for teaching and learning.
  • Be a steward of university data and Longhorn privacy: never share protected data with unauthorized tools. Learn more about what data can be used with which tools.

Explore these on your own time to get oriented and go deeper.
