Announcing the 2025–26 Distinguished Leadership Service Academy Cohort

The Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost welcomed five faculty members into the  2025–26 cohort of the Provost’s Distinguished Leadership Service Academy (DLSA) at UT Austin. The new academy members come from across campus with opportunities to develop balanced professional portfolios that integrate excellence in scholarship, teaching, mentoring and service.

The Provost’s Distinguished Leadership Service Academy (DLSA) provides a formal organization of distinguished senior professional-track and tenured faculty members with extraordinary contributions and accomplishments across their professional portfolios and particularly in terms of their excellence in leadership, mentoring and service to their college or school, the university, the state and the nation.

As part of DLSA membership, each member will receive a one-time award of $25,000. The appointment spans five years and includes opportunities to lead workshops and initiatives that focus on service, mentoring, and leadership.

“These exceptional faculty members were chosen in recognition of their remarkable contributions to UT and their broader impact in their academic and professional communities,” said Tasha Beretvas, Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs. “Each brings a record of excellence in their work, paired with a strong dedication to service, mentoring and leadership.”
