The University of Texas Executive Management and Leadership Program is a semester-long professional development program at UT Austin.
The goal of the program is to develop expertise among university leaders to meet the business, leadership, and organizational challenges ahead for UT Austin. Top university leaders are encouraged to participate. The course covers key challenges identified for academic leaders:
- University financial acumen
- Fostering innovation
- Maximizing team performance
- Designing and implementing strategy
- Negotiation skills
- Interpersonal dynamics
- Advocacy and influence
The inaugural cohort was formed in January 2017, and has continued with cohorts in the fall of 2017 and spring of 2018. Participants should be available to attend at least eight out of the 10 sessions.
