Scholarships to Support Our Undergraduate Leaders

The University of Texas at Austin offers a wide range of awards for undergraduates: the University Co-op / George H. Mitchell Student Awards for Academic Excellence and the Roy Crane Award in the Arts. Sponsorship of these awards is part of the overall mission to encourage and promote excellence in undergraduate education.

University Co-op / George H. Mitchell Award

Recognizes up to seven UT Austin undergraduates for superior scholarly or creative achievement with awards of $12,000, $5,000, and $2,500.


Roy Crane Award in the Arts

Awarded each year to two undergraduate or graduate students for their unique, creative effort in the performing, literary and visual arts.

Award winners

UT System Regents Award in Arts & Humanities

Awarded to outstanding students and student groups that excel in four areas: the musical arts, the visual arts, poetry writing and short essays.

National Awards

Alan Bean

Astronaut Scholarship Foundation

For undergraduate students majoring in science, technology, engineering or math.


Goldwater Scholarship

Recognizes undergraduate students intending to pursue careers in mathematics, the natural sciences, or engineering.
