Accepting Nominations — New Graduate Student Teaching Award

Dear colleagues,

We are excited to announce a new award that recognizes and honors excellence in graduate student teaching. In addition to the Graduate School’s annual Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award, the university will also be recognizing outstanding teaching at the graduate level through the President’s Associates Graduate Teaching Excellence Award.

The President’s Associates Graduate Teaching Excellence Award was created to honor educators who demonstrate a commitment to teach and inspire graduate students. Nominations are open and will be accepted until Friday, November 12, 2021 at 5 pm CST.

Individuals interested in nomination should contact their dean’s office for information on their school’s nomination process. Each college and school may submit up to two nominations. To be eligible, candidates should hold a current faculty or postdoctoral fellow position on campus and teach graduate students. Well-qualified candidates must demonstrate a record of excellence in graduate student teaching, mentoring, and engagement with graduate program curricular reform and educational innovation.

You can find more information about the award and submission information here. Also, a special thank you to the President’s Associates for making this generous award possible.

Sincerely,

TASHA BERETVAS
